Who is your first known ancestor?

Peter Draper

What surnames are you searching?

Albertson, Morris, Nicholson

Do you have anyone buried in Cedar Creek Cemetery?

distant cousins
Hi Jean, I have reviewed your Draper page and your salvation page was so inspiring. Your Thomas Draper is the uncle of my 3rd great grandfather Benjamin Draper who married Elizabeth Nicholson, at Driftwood MM and then Sandcreek MM near Elizabethtown, IN.
I saw a family line someone sent you and I understand you could not find who sent it. I have been researching it as possibilities and found 2 other distant cousins with similar ancestral lines. These led me to research William Draper and found strong potential possibility in England. If you know anything else, could you please email me.
Thanks, Delbert Ray Draper

Do you have anyone buried in Cedar Creek Cemetery?

I don't know.
Hello Jean,
I am hoping that you are the person who authored the online Bogue genealogy with the picture of Samuel Bogue as the background.

Samuel is my gggg grandfather though his daughter, Nancy. I love having an image of him, but I would like to know the origin of the photograph. Could you please tell me more about it?

Thank you,
Laura

Who is your first known ancestor?

William Erskine Marrs, if true, then can trace lines to Adam

What surnames are you searching?

Erskine/Marrs, Earls of Mar

Do you have anyone buried in Cedar Creek Cemetery?

Maybe?
I found your email and name attached to much of the genealogical research behind the Marrs family. I believe at one point your were in contact with my father, Anthony Marrs, from Albuquerque, NM. I have taken up where his genealogy research left off and expanded upon it immensely, most recently adding a minor autosomal DNA test to the mix. I wanted to see if you'd be interested in comparing autosomal DNA results on GEDmatch.com. My kit number is G946135. I am looking for descendants of William Erskine Marrs to compare results with. Please let me know if you are interested or know of any other descendants who would be. If you have found any more evidence linking the family to the Earls of Mar that would be fantastic, I have a fairly convincing picture of my younger brother next to a picture of King James and the Earl of Mar who raised him - they bare a very striking resemblance in my opinion. Thanks for your time and consideration,

Zachary Marrs

Who is your first known ancestor?

William Erskine Marrs

What surnames are you searching?

Erskine/Marrs
I'm currently researching the Erskine/Marrs connection. My interest has been piqued again after having my mother's DNA tested through Ancestry. She has appeared as a possible 8th cousin to a descendant of James Erskine, Lord Grange, who was son to Charles Erskine, 22nd and 5th earl and brother to John Erskine, 23rd and 6th earl. Have you come across any other information pertaining to the link between the Marrs and Erskine lines?

Chiefly interested in establishing if my ancestor William Maxwell (c.1740-1810) of Augusta/Botetourt, VA, ultimately Wayne Co., IN might be the William Maxwell, son of John (Sr.) christened at Old Craig Parish, VA in 1743.
Many thanks for your thoughts.

No, John Henry Canaday is my Great Great Grandfather and is buried in the Spencer Cemetary north of Stockport, Iowa along with my Great Grandfather, Emsley Foley Canaday who was born in Glasgow, Iowa 1861 and died in Birmingham, iowa 7/25/1942.
I am having trouble finding the parents of John Henry Canaday. I actually think he was born in Ohio or Tennessee not Virginia. His wife was Sarah F.
