Dear Ms Leeper,
I found your work on the Whites of NY on rootsweb. Thank you very much. I have been working on the Whites from various directions. I was born in Kansas; the family moved through Indiana and Maryland from New Jersey. At least I think they are descended from the NJ Whites.
I have seen reports linking Henry White b 1763 to the NJ Whites. He is reported to be a son of Hannah Powell and Josiah White. It appears that this is impossible. It doesn't even seem too likely that he is a son of Josiah and Rebecca. I don't see his name in any of your notes. It is possible that he was either illegitimate, Josiah's son by a second marriage, or the 1763 date is wrong. Have you any ideas re Henry White born 1763?
